Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, according to the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, is “very promising.” Elon Musk, the chairman and CTO of X (previously Twitter), has praised Vivek Ramaswamy, the up-and-coming Republican contender for president of the United States.
Vivek Ramaswamy is the youngest-ever Republican presidential candidate, according to Musk, who commented in response to a clip of Ramaswamy’s appearance on Tucker Carlson’s Tucker on Twitter show. Musk continued, “He is a very promising candidate.”
Ramaswamy, who is renowned for his frank comments on digital money and cryptocurrencies, has lobbied for a more supportive crypto environment in the US.
He made the announcement that his presidential campaign would accept Bitcoin donations during the Bitcoin 2023 conference in Miami, making him the second candidate to support BTC for the 2024 U.S. election.
At the occasion, Ramaswamy released a QR code that directed participants to a donation portal with a number of ways to contribute. Qualifying donors would receive an exclusive nonfungible token for contributions up to $6,600.
Ramaswamy’s decision echoes that of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who was the first American presidential candidate to accept donations in Bitcoin. This highlights the growing importance and influence of cryptocurrencies in determining the future financial environment.
A fellow Republican and Bitcoin-friendly Florida Governor named Ron DeSantis has become close friends with Ramaswamy as a result of the latter’s rising popularity.
But Ramaswamy faces challenges when he enters the political arena. He is presently the target of two lawsuits filed by former workers at Strive Asset Management, a business he co-founded. The employees assert that while working for the company, they were forced to violate securities laws.
