Hidden Road, a credit network for institutions, has joined Komainu Connect, the cryptocurrency custody platform created by Nomura, Ledger, and CoinShares.
Clients can now use digital assets in collateralization circumstances while their assets are still in safe and regulated custody thanks to Hidden Road, the first prime broker to join the ecosystem, Komainu said in a statement on Wednesday. By trading volume, OKX is the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange; it joined Komainu Connect in June.
“Hidden Road is a key addition to our expanding collateral management network, representing another piece of the puzzle in bringing this much-needed and institutional-grade offering to the digital asset marketplace,” declared Nicolas Bertrand, CEO of Komainu.
With its recent receipt of an operating permit from the Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) in Dubai, Komainu may now provide its entire range of custody services to customers in the emirate. Komainu has been growing internationally. The cryptocurrency custodian, which was established in June 2020, offers custody services to exchanges, financial institutions, asset managers, businesses, and governmental organisations.
