According to Donald Trump, the US cannot afford to take “second place” in the cryptocurrency market.

Former President Donald Trump believes that the United States should not settle for anything less than first place in the cryptocurrency business. “Our country must be the leader in the field, there is no second place,” Trump said in a May 25 post on Truth Social, a social media platform owned by Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG). “I am very positive and open-minded to cryptocurrency companies, and all things related to this new and burgeoning industry,” he stated, before taking aim at the incumbent president, Joe Biden, whom he faces in the 2024 presidential contest, with the US election day slated for November 4.”CROOKED JOE BIDEN, ON THE OTHER HAND, THE WORST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY, WANTS IT TO DIE A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN WITH ME!”His remarks came before of his scheduled appearance to the Libertarian Party’s National Convention in Washington that same day.

Trump’s recent positive attitude toward cryptocurrency has heightened anticipation in the crypto industry about his likely win. According to Polymarket, a New York-based cryptocurrency prediction company, Trump has a 56% chance of winning the election, while incumbent President Joe Biden has a 38% chance. This comes just after Trump revealed that his presidential campaign will accept cryptocurrency donations. On May 21, the Trump 2024 campaign announced that it had opened a fundraising page where eligible persons may send cryptocurrency through the Coinbase Commerce platform. The website included logos for Bitcoin BTC.Ether (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE),Shiba SHIB, The cryptocurrency XRP,  USD Coin (USDC), Solve for SOL and 0x (ZRX).

In addition to making encouraging public comments regarding cryptocurrency, Trump has reportedly visited with crypto fans. According to data, those who purchased Trump’s “Mugshot” non-fungible tokens (NFTs) were able to dine with him on May 8 at his Mar-a-Lago estate. The supper was part of the deal with the purchase of digital trading cards with his mug image from his surrender at Fulton County Jail in Georgia.
