ChatGPT is anticipated to be included in Apple’s upcoming operating software update, iOS 18, if the parties successfully complete the transaction. According to those acquainted with the situation, tech giant Apple is allegedly nearing completion on contract negotiations with OpenAI to utilise ChatGPT functionalities on the iPhone.
According to a May 11 Bloomberg story, if the proposal is implemented, ChatGPT functionalities would be included in Apple’s next software update, iOS 18. It was reported that Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google, and Apple are also in talks about possible integration of the Gemini chatbot. That being said, it was mentioned that these conversations aren’t as sophisticated as those with Apple.
Users may be able to disable these functions on their devices as part of the new operating system, however this is not yet apparent.
Rumours that Apple has restricted company use of ChatGPT because of worries about sensitive data risk surfaced just a year ago. But there have been more and more stories in the last several months suggesting that Apple is stepping up its efforts to launch its own artificial intelligence (AI) business.
It was revealed on April 30 that Apple has allegedly been hiring Google specialists to bolster its own AI and machine learning division.
In addition to collecting groups of AI specialists, Apple has lately purchased two regional AI firms in Zurich, Switzerland. This acquisition prompted the company to construct a “secretive” laboratory there, dubbed “Vision Lab.”
When showcasing its M4 CPU in the most recent iPad, Apple highlighted Octane, a 3D design programme powered by the Render Network, in its keynote address on May 11.
The mention caused Render Token (RNDR) to increase by 11%. According to CoinMarketCap data, it has grown the most among the top ten AI tokens over the last seven days, up 18%, while Fetch.ai (FET) and SingularityNET (AGIX) have decreased by 0.77% and 0.15%, respectively.
