Binance’s Head of Product Leaves as the Executive Exodus Picks Up Steam

Another senior executive has left Binance, with Global Product Lead Mayur Kamat leaving the cryptocurrency exchange after almost 1.5 years.

A representative issued a statement via email that read, “We can confirm that Mayur has resigned from his position as product lead.” “We thank him for helping us navigate Binance through some of our most rapid growth, and we wish him the best.” Kamat joined Binance in April 2022 after serving as vice president of product at the vacation agency Agoda.

Kamat left the firm in early July, joining Chief Strategy Officer Patrick Hillmann, Senior Director of Investigations Matthew Price, and SVP for Compliance Steven Christie. According to Bloomberg, the head of Asia-Pacific, Leon Foong, quit last week.

According to sources, their departures were related to the manner company founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao handled the U.S. Department of Justice’s inquiry into Binance. The reports were labelled by CZ as “FUD” (fear, uncertainty, and doubt). The Block previously reported on Kamat’s departure
