A KuCoin representative announced via email that the investment division of cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin will give the TONNE network a $20,000 grant to support ongoing ecosystem initiatives.
“The first phase of our partnership involves a $20,000 grant, which will be allocated to five TON-based mini-apps,” a spokesperson said. “Meanwhile, we are in discussion with TONNE for more collaborations.”
A Friday announcement stated that the mini-apps’ main features are gaming and payments. The goal of KuCoin Ventures, according to the statement, is “to blaze a trail for the future of collaboration between exchanges and public chains.”
The announcement, which came just days after Animoca Brands made an undisclosed investment in the system and thus became the network’s largest validator, could be another indication of the growing momentum surrounding Web3 developments on TONNE.
