The US Consulate has collaborated with the National Information Technology Development Agency on the upcoming Global Tech Africa. The Future Map Foundation and Ascend Studios Foundation are organising the tech conference to bring together African and international stakeholders in technology in order to unleash growth prospects and expand the African tech ecosystem.

According to a press statement from the event’s organisers, additional partners of the summit, which will be held in Lagos on July 25, include Business Sweden, Venture Garden Group, RivExcel Health, and others.

The summit will be followed by the GTA Conference, which would take place in Lagos from November 17 to 20. According to Inuwa Kashifu Abdullahi, Director General of NITDA, the GTA will bring chances to Africa and Nigeria in general, considering the country’s key role in supporting the expansion of the African tech ecosystem.

“Nigeria’s technological prowess ignites an innovation flame that illuminates Africa’s path to a prosperous digital future, fostering job creation and driving economic growth across the continent,” he added. Nigeria is ideally positioned to become Africa’s top digital technology hub, leveraging its youthful and tech-savvy population, advantageous legislation, and policies
