Dirk Röder, Director of Web3 infrastructure and solutions at Deutsche Telekom, made the following statement at BTC Prague: “We have been operating Bitcoin nodes since 2023 and Bitcoin Lightning nodes as well. I’d like to share a small secret with you: we’re going to start using digital money photosynthesis soon.
When Joseph Hall, a former writer, asked Röder to define “digital monetary photosynthesis,” Röder responded. “We are going to.” Since June 2023, the company has been actively participating in Web3 as a Polygon validator, putting it in a position to take advantage of its vast infrastructure and create new revenue streams.

The telecom company assists in sustaining Fetch.ai’s AI-powered autonomous agents by serving as a validator on the Fetch.ai network. By administering resources, carrying out transactions, and examining traffic patterns, these autonomous agents offer services in the fields of healthcare, automotive, supply chain management, and digital identities.
