SK Telcom and Aptos and Atomrigs Lab will introduce the Web3 wallet.

Through this tripartite agreement with the blockchain companies, the South Korean telecom giant hopes to deepen its “affiliations with customer-preferred mainnets and decentralised applications”.

Telecom provider SK Telecom (SKT) in South Korea has revealed plans to introduce T wallet, a Web3 wallet service, in collaboration with layer-1 mainnet providers Aptos Labs and Atomrigs Lab.

In July 2022, SK Telecom first envisioned launching a blockchain wallet for cryptocurrencies and nonfungible tokens (NFTs). At the time, the project began with SKT’s blockchain division working with Atomix Lab and AhnLab Blockchain Company to create and manage a Web3 wallet.

SKT intends to use this tripartite agreement with the blockchain companies to broaden its “affiliations with customer-preferred mainnets and decentralised applications,” according to the most recent announcement.

“Through the collaboration with Aptos, which marks our first non- Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) blockchain integration, SKT is committed to delivering a seamless and secure Web3 experience for our users.” . In an official tweet, SKT committed to delivering a seamless and secure Web3 experience for users. As part of the collaboration, T wallet will also adopt MoveVM blockchain technology and be integrated into Aptos’ decentralised application (DApp) ecosystem.
