Tether’s development team is close to finishing a set of “well polished” JavaScript libraries, according to a recent tweet from Paolo Ardoino, the company’s chief technology officer (CTO) and the CTO of Bitfinex and Tether. These libraries are made to control and communicate with several varieties of bitcoin miners, such as WhatsMiners, AntMiners, and Avalon Miners.
The libraries were referred to by Ardoino as “really high-quality stuff,” with an emphasis on their extreme modularity and high level of polish. The underlying architecture of Tether’s Moria mining farm orchestration tool, which is built on technology from Holepunch.to, a startup in which Ardoino also holds the positions of co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), was also disclosed by him.
Peer-to-peer (P2P) software can be created utilising the Holepunch.to platform without the use of servers. It provides a number of small JavaScript modules that may be combined to create various P2P applications, from VPNs to communication tools. The platform also offers capabilities for distributing software to any user on any platform without the need for operations administration. Updates are quick and easy because users only need to download the parts of the software that have changed since the prior revision. Additionally, as the user base grows, peers who download the applications also re-host them for new peers, strengthening the app’s network.
The CTO also made a suggestion that the tool’s potential use may be expanded to include monitoring of energy generation, highlighting the growing significance of energy efficiency in bitcoin mining operations. This action might give miners important knowledge on how much energy they use, allowing them to improve sustainability of their operations.
In a statement that looked ahead, Ardoino predicted that some of the new technologies would eventually be open-sourced. If achieved, this might benefit the larger cryptocurrency ecosystem by giving developers and miners access to cutting-edge software and frameworks.
The precise date that these libraries will be finished and released is not yet known. The crypto community can anticipate further updates in the near future, though, given the advanced state of development mentioned in Ardoino’s tweet.
