User transactions on Aptos reach an all-time high.

The introduction of Tapos Cat, a brand-new tap-to-earn game that has been incredibly popular, is thought to be the cause of the current spike in transactional activity on Aptos.

A new milestone in blockchain transactions has been reached by the layer-1 blockchain platform Aptos, which was created by former Facebook employees. On May 25, it outpaced Solana with 115. 4 million transactions in a single day, as opposed to 31.7 million for Solana.

The spike in transaction volume broke the previous L1 record of almost 65 million, which was held by Sui Network, and set a new benchmark by more than 50%. The day also saw an all-time high of 32,000 transactions per second (TPS) for users on the blockchain, according to Aptoscan. This indicates a significant uptick in activity inside the blockchain ecosystem, highlighting the industry’s expanding momentum and adoption.

The release of Tapos Cat, a brand-new tap-to-earn game that has been incredibly popular, is thought to be the cause of the recent spike in transactional activity on Aptos. The game handled a whopping 10 million transactions in its first day on the mainnet, greatly boosting the platform’s increased activity. By “tickling” a virtual cat in the Tapos Cat game, players can gain $HEART tokens. The framework of the game allows for many transactions. Furthermore, the game provides a free play period for the first seventy-two hours, incentivizing users to engage and have fun without incurring any additional expenses.

The success rates and petrol fees of Aptos have remained constant in spite of the large volume of transactions.

The Aptos platform’s Aggregator feature, which allows for the simultaneous processing of numerous transactions and guarantees a smooth and effective user experience, makes this stability feasible.

The CEO of Helius Labs has questioned Tapos Cat’s viability and usefulness, arguing that the game’s concentration on click-and-buy interactions is more of a way to manipulate stats than a true way to meet user demands. Although Tapos Cat might not seem to have much of a purpose at first, proponents of Aptos argue that it is an essential engineering effort that shows the Aptos network’s resilience and scalability and lays the groundwork for future advancements.

Aptos Labs is steadfast in its commitment to growing its goal of providing decentralised asset access to billions of people. The Aptos Labs team unveiled its new worldwide advisers on May 9, among them David Lawee, a former Google vice president of corporate development. Plans to create a Web3 wallet service, T wallet, in collaboration with South Korean telecoms operator SK Telecom (SKT), were revealed in November 2023 by Aptos Labs and Atomrigs Lab.
